Spotted Gum

For a premium Australian Hardwood, look no further than the stunning Spotted Gum. Also known as Lemon Scented Gum, it is as striking in appearance as it is durable in strength – making it an excellent choice for a variety of structural, interior and exterior projects.

Spotted Gum has a beautiful range of colours, from light coffees to rich chocolate browns and featuring pink and grey undertones.

Known for its natural beauty, it can be oiled or stained to bring its natural colours to the forefront, or left to weather for a more organic appearance.

Natural Durability

With a high degree of durability and strength, it comes as no surprise that the Spotted Gum is one of Australia’s favourite hardwoods. It features a lifespan of up to 25 years when used in ground, and well over 40 years when used above ground. Not only that, it’s also termite resistant – ensuring it can be used with confidence for both interior and exterior projects, as it can weather our harsh Australian elements with ease.

A Variety of Applications

Incredibly popular with builders and landscapers, Spotted Gum is suitable for wide range of applications. It’s durability and appearance make it an excellent choice both decking flooring, with high traffic areas not being an issue at all. If you’re looking for a feature timber that can be used on the exterior of homes and buildings – and not just as decking – then the beautiful colours that are offered by Spotted Gum ensure it is a stunning option for cladding too.

Can I use Spotted Gum in fire prone areas?

Whilst many people love the look and feel of hardwood timber, they are often concerned that they can’t use it within their home as they live in a bush fire prone area.
